My client are a well-established contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, large-scale residential projects. They arelooking for a talented Mechanical Estimator to join theirdynamic team based near Warrington.
As a Mechanical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for mechanical systems across our residential projects. Working closely with the project management and design teams, you will ensure that projects are delivered within budget and on schedule. Your expertise in mechanical services and cost estimation will be crucial to our continued success in delivering high-quality residential developments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed mechanical estimates for residential projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to understand the scope of work.
- Collaborate with the design and project management teams to provide cost-effective solutions.
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely bids and tenders.
- Evaluate and select subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring value for money.
- Monitor project costs throughout the delivery phase and advise on any necessary adjustments.
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and construction techniques.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator, ideally with a focus on residential projects.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
- Excellent ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of construction processes and regulations.
- Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
