Job Title: Kitchen Assistant - Temporary Contract
Location: Runcorn
Hours: 10:00am-2:30pm
Pay: 12.21ph
Start Date: Immediate
We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join a dynamic team in Runcorn as a Kitchen Assistant on a temporary ongoing basis.
Our client is seeking a reliable and dedicated individual who is eager to support the smooth running of their kitchen operations. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the kitchen team with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a high standard of hygiene is upheld at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of meals, including cutting, chopping, and portioning ingredients
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment and utensils
- Assist with washing dishes, pots, and pans
- Organise and store ingredients and supplies appropriately
- Support chefs and other kitchen staff as required
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times
- Collaborate with the team to maintain smooth kitchen operations
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanour in a fast-paced environment
Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS, dated within the last 3 years, is required for this role due to the nature of the environment
- Previous experience as a Kitchen Assistant or in a similar role is desirable
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to upholding high standards of cleanliness
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
