Job Overview: We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to oversee highway construction and maintenance projects. The role involves managing on-site activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of highway construction, and a commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Supervise daily site operations, ensuring adherence to project plans, timelines, and safety standards.
- Team Leadership: Manage on-site teams, including subcontractors, to ensure efficient and safe work practices.
- Health & Safety: Enforce compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular safety audits and risk assessments.
- Quality Control: Implement quality control measures, ensuring all work meets required standards and specifications.
- Resource Management: Manage materials, equipment, and labor to optimize project costs and efficiency.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for clients, local authorities, and the public, addressing concerns and providing project updates.
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
- 10 years of site management experience in the highways sector.
- Strong knowledge of highway construction processes and regulations.
- Valid certifications (SMSTS, CSCS, etc.) and a Full UK Driving License.
