Position Overview

As the Finance Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of the company. Working closely with the Managing Director and senior executives, you will provide strategic leadership to optimise financial performance and drive business growth. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of company strategy across all areas of the business.

Responsibilities
  • Develop a close working relationship with the Managing Director and senior executives

  • Provide leadership to the Board's Finance and Accounting strategy

  • Assume overall control of the company's accounting function

  • Contribute to the development of company strategy across all business areas

  • Ensure robust and compliant financial systems to support current and future growth

  • Lead and develop high-performing finance teams

  • Collaborate with senior teams to formulate strategies for business growth

  • Oversee corporate budgeting processes and reviews

  • Provide financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets, and business drivers

Requirements
  • Qualified member of an accountancy body (CIMA, ICAEW, ACCA)

  • Proven experience in managing operational and strategic aspects of finance

  • Degree educated with a strong academic background

  • Exceptional communication skills at all levels

  • Strong IT skills, with ERP system experience (SAP B1) beneficial

  • Ability to handle high pressure and make critical decisions

  • High integrity and commitment to good governance

  • Energetic and motivated, with a passion for excellence and innovation

  • Independent thinker with the ability to challenge assumptions when appropriate

  • Keen to make a difference and drive business success
