What You Will Do:

• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the Data Advisory team, focusing on reviewing and risk assessing Product Engineering projects handling personal data in compliance with EU/UK GDPR.• Provide essential advice on privacy requirements for various projects, including in-vehicle infotainment features, cloud processing, and mobile apps.• Identify and articulate high-risk processing, complex data flows, and the role of third parties in data handling.• Advise on international data transfers, industry-specific guidelines, data minimisation techniques, and data subject rights adherence.• Communicate complex legal arguments effectively to Engineering colleagues, ensuring compliance with data privacy laws.• Manage a heavy workload in a fast-paced, innovative environment, demonstrating exceptional problem-solving skills.

What You Will Bring:

• Proven experience as a dedicated Privacy professional, ideally within the Automotive, Engineering, IT, Software Development, or Banking sectors.• Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex legal arguments to non-legal colleagues.• A strong educational background, holding a CIPP/E qualification, Law Degree, Engineering/IT Degree, or being a Qualified Lawyer.• Demonstrated ability to navigate and advise on the complexities of EU/UK GDPR within a technology-driven context.• A proven track record of managing heavy workloads in dynamic environments, with a keen ability to problem-solve.
