Are you an enthusiastic law graduate with a keen interest in corporate governance? Do you aspire to build your career within in-house governance? Join our rapidly growing company as a Trainee Company Secretary and become a vital part of a dynamic team dedicated to effective governance and compliance.

In this role, you'll work alongside a small internal governance team, to support our client's expanding governance functions. You will gain hands-on experience in managing company secretarial registers, coordinating statutory board meetings, and assisting in the governance for your client's needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain company secretarial registers and support statutory board meetings.
  • Track key documentation and ensure timely submission of filings to Companies House.
  • Support the wider team by organising diary arrangements, preparing documentation, and assisting with post-meeting actions.
  • Conduct KYC and manage director criminal record checks, helping the companies meet their compliance requirements.
  • Adhoc administrative support and handle client enquiries as needed.

The role on Offer:

  • Starting salary up to £30,000 per annum, plus a 10% discretionary bonus scheme.

Requirements:

  • Law degree required, with full right to work in the UK.
  • Enthusiasm to learn and a proactive attitude towards in-house governance.
  • Willingness to travel to the office 2 days per week
  • A high level of accuracy is essential when managing compliance matters, preparing documents, and updating corporate data.
  • Ability to liaise with key stakeholders and respond to queries professionally and effectively.
  • Skilled in learn and handle complex processes such as document and compliance filings, ensuring efficiency and timely completion.
  • Competent in using digital tools like CRM systems, MOS, with a proactive approach
  • Use own initiative and confident to share innovative ideas to contribute to an ever-changing environment.
