Transport Planner

The Best Connection is working on behalf of our client who is a well-known Logistics company based in Washington.

They now have a requirement for a Traffic Planner to join a team of dedicated transport professionals.  This role is critical to the smooth running of the transport department and is very varied.

Duties will include:

• Route Planning
• Driver briefing and de-briefing
• Booking in loads which can change daily and can also be same day requirements
• Arranging servicing of vehicles and breakdowns
• Liaise with the Customer Services Team to plan the routes to sites throughout the UK
• Overseeing the daily duties of the drivers
• Must be competent using Microsoft Excel

Desirable (but not essential) requirements:

• FLT licence
• C+E (Class 1) licence

Salary:

• £30,000 per annum

Hours of work:

• 06.00am – 18.00pm
• 4 on / 4 off.

Immediate start date. The role is being offered on a permanent basis.
