Job Overview:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Assistant Management Accountant to join our finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to progress their career in finance and who wants to gain valuable experience while studying for CIMA or ACCA qualifications. You will initially focus on accounts receivable, debit notes, and chasing debt, with the opportunity to grow into a more varied role as you develop your skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Receivable:
    • Assist in processing and managing accounts receivable transactions.
    • Issue and manage debit notes, and ensure accurate record-keeping.
    • Chase overdue debts in a professional and timely manner, liaising with clients and stakeholders as necessary.
  • Accounts Payable:
    • Support with processing and maintaining accounts payable records.
    • Assist in preparing payments and reconciling invoices.
  • Month-End Process:
    • Support in month-end activities such as posting journals and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
    • Learn and assist in month-end rebates, payments, and balance sheet reconciliations.
    • Participate in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Reconciliations:
    • Help with bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
    • Learn and assist with accruals, prepayments, and journal entries.
  • Training & Development:
    • Work closely with senior team members to develop a deeper understanding of financial accounting and management processes.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and manage workloads effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and progressing within a finance career.
