Management Accountant

Astute's Power team is partnering with a leading manufacturer of equipment for the construction industry to recruit a Management Accountant for their team based in Northampton.

Responsibilities and duties

Reporting to the UK General Manager you will:

• Oversee full P&L management for a minimum of 10m p/a, ensuring accurate reporting and financial control.
• Provide monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• High to expert proficiency in Excel with strong working knowledge of SAGE.
• Manage currency exposure, particularly in Euro and USD.
• Collaborate across the business where required.
• Oversee one direct report, providing guidance and leadership in financial operations.
• Assist in financial system migration, with full training provided on new platforms.
• Analyse financial data to support decision-making and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required for business needs.

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

• Fully qualified CIMA Management Accountant (required)
• Proficiency in Excel and SAGE; knowledge of CDK/EBS would be an advantage.
• Strong international financial experience, including exposure to Euro and USD currencies.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.

Personal skills

The role would suit someone who has:

• Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret data and provide insights to support business decisions.
• Good communication skills, able to relay financial information to non-financial and senior stakeholders across different regions.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• ~3-5 years of experience and looking to develop their career.
