People Business Partner (6 month contract)

My client is seeking an People Business Partner to join our team and drive the implementation of change within the operational functions. This role is crucial for delivering transformational change across multiple workstreams, working in partnership with operational colleagues and a range of stakeholders.

Day to Day of the Role:
  • Support the Senior People Business Partner in managing and delivering key projects aligned with the business plan and people strategy.
  • Engage in hands-on support for the scoping and management of change programmes, ensuring the application of HR policy and best practice.
  • Build strong relationships with Directors, Heads of Teams, and Operational Managers.
  • Manage change processes including restructures, TUPE, and redundancy.
  • Handle ER case work, including grievance, capability investigations, and disciplinary meetings.
  • Serve as a role model for strong employee engagement, establishing productive working relationships across the organisation.
  • Ensure effective implementation of system changes by engaging users, prioritising communications, training, and engagement.
  • Maintain and develop HR process and policy documentation in line with best practices.
  • Act as a coach and mentor within the team and across the organisation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Graduate or equivalent qualification in HR Management, with at least three years’ experience in multiple HR disciplines.
  • Proven experience in organisational change management.
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to influence the business agenda.
  • Deep knowledge of employment legislation and ability to apply it to business-focused KPIs.
  • Superior relationship management, persuasion, and influencing skills.
  • Good coaching skills that build capacity rather than dependency.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and experience with HR platforms.
  • Strong attention to detail, commitment to excellence, and high integrity.
  • Background in data and analytics.
Desirable:
  • CIPD level 5 or above.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Experience in Health and/or Social Care settings.
  • Experience with MHR (iTrent) or similar HR systems.
  • Knowledge of TUPE legislation.
  • Flexibility to work in a 24/7 business environment.
  • Full clean UK driving licence.
