Job Title: Risk Administrator

Location: Based 2-3 days per week in the Hertfordshire Office. It is expected to be office-based during the first few weeks of onboarding.

About the Risk Administrator:

We're looking for driven and ambitious candidates with some knowledge in operational risk/banking, looking to develop their career and grow with a reputable company.

Responsibilities of Risk Administrator:

  • To administer risk, control, and event information within the Bank's Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) system, ensuring that the quality of information recorded by the business meets expected standards
  • Supporting business areas regarding use of the GRC system to record risk and control information, and to undertake mandatory assessments
  • Undertaking scheduled and ad-hoc reviews of business area information, to ascertain the level of risk, effectiveness of controls, and conformance to risk management policies and procedures
  • Supporting business area control testing through the provision of advice, and undertaking ongoing assurance sampling of completed testing to ensure the practise is embedded effectively
  • To assist with the preparation of papers for monthly and ad-hoc committee reporting

Experience required for Risk Administrator:

  • Understanding of the banking sector and/or operational risk
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills, and the ability to review complex information
  • Strong organisational skills, and the ability to work on own initiative
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Operational Risk qualification, or the willingness to work towards attaining an appropriate qualification
