Accounts Assistant

Assistant Accountant / Hertford / 30,000 - 40,000 (dependant on experience)

Role

Working in partnership with the Finance Manager you will support all elements of the month-end close and statutory reporting.

Responsibilities for the Assistant Accountant include:

• Support the production of monthly management accounts, tax returns and other regulatory financial requirements.
• Maintain the purchase, sales and general ledger.
• Work closely with the Finance Manager to ensure all reporting requirements are met.
• Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports.
• Continuously improve processes throughout the ledgers.
• Ensure Balance Sheet Reconciliations are preformed and appropriate controls in place.

Profile

• Our client is open to candidates from different walks of life including (AAT, ACCA, CIMA). They are open to offering training contracts for further development.
• Strong experience across all purchase, sales and the general ledger.
• High attention to detail.
• Able to work within tight deadlines.
