Location: Park Royal, London Salary: £65,000 - £75,000Summary:At Bis Henderson, we are looking for a Transport Manager to join a growing business operating within the Fuel sector. The Transport Manager will have overall accountability for the depot, drivers and vehicle management. They will also be responsible for compliance in line with current legislation. They will also need to generate regular reports that will be presented to the Board with agreed KPIs. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a similar role within a customer-centric transport operation. A CPC is essential to this role. Key Responsibilities:
- To manage and organise the smooth and effective running of day-to-day business
- To deal with the logistics department ensuring drivers are running to a time-efficient schedule and adhere to drivers' hours and Working Time Directive rules with their supporting team.
- Generate regular reports to be presented to the Board with agreed KPI's
- To ensure company's growth by liaising with clientele when necessary, from a customer service and business analysis perspective
- Manage, audit and review compliance systems to ensure they are effective and review any apparent shortcomings.
Experience:
- Track record in a similar role within a customer centric transport operation
- Transport Manager CPC is essential
- Proven experience of delivering against agreed budgets and KPI's
- Ensuring site compliance with all relevant employment / transport legislation
- An understanding of CI techniques, KPI management, Employment Law and H&S legislation
