Maintenance Team LeaderThis leading provider of aftermarket remanufacturing services to many of the world's leading Automotive OEMs is seeking a Maintenance Team Leader to manage the day-to-day maintenance and servicing responsibilities.Working with other team leaders you will not only focus on keeping plant, machinery and facilities functioning, but also identifying and implementing improvements to process to improve efficiency, reliability and safety.Responsibilities will include:
  • Completion of daily TPM activity ensuring accurate records of work done and parts used are maintained to reduce unplanned downtime
  • Attend critical equipment breakdowns to diagnose faults and minimise downtime.
  • Supervise contractors when on site, completing induction (pre-works) and snagging (post-works)
  • Support production with replacement tooling as required, offering design improvements to eliminate failure modes
  • Liaise with suppliers to source required components at best cost / lead time
  • Contribute to clearing of open 'Work Service Request' tickets in a timely manner
  • Ensure health & safety is always followed.
Skills/Experience
  • Multi-skilled is preferred (but not essential)
  • Ability to use manual machine tools would be advantageous, as would welding and general fabrication knowledge.
  • Experience of working with contractors and supervision of installation of equipment
  • The ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Knowledge / Experience of programming and using CNC Machines would be advantageous
  • Worked with planned maintenance systems in a busy environment
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety to ensure work is carried out in a safe way
  • Experience of electrical fault diagnosis on equipment is desirable
  • Technical drawing / CAD skills preferable
Days based working a 37-hour week.Salary is negotiable (£45,000+ DOE)Pension, life assurance, sick pay.
