Responsibilities:
- Research, select and purchase quality products and materials.
- Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate with them for the best pricing.
- Process requisitions and update management on status of orders.
- Update inventory and ensure that stock levels are kept at appropriate levels.
- Control PPE stock levels
- Arrange transport of goods and track orders to ensure timely delivery.
- Analyse market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions.
- Use Microsoft Projects to prepare, update and maintain work programs and order materials in coherence with the build program
- Read bills, and schedule take offs from site drawings
- Maintain and update the purchase order log
- Maintain and update comparison workbooks
- Add tender codes to purchase orders, purchase order workbook, and invoices
- Possess a working knowledge of company policies and procedures.
