gap healthcare is currently recruiting for a new and exciting opportunity on behalf of our clients based in Chevington, Suffolk for an experienced Senior Support Worker for a children’s registered service. 

Location: Chevington, Suffolk

The current full-time rate for this post is £30,578 - £31,510, per annum, depending on qualifications and including 5 sleep-ins per month at £64.18 per night.

Hours - 38 hours per week (shifts will include some evening and weekends)

Salary:  £30,578 - £31,510 per annum

About the Role:

As a Senior Support Worker, you will assist the management team in directing and utilizing staff and resources on-shift to achieve the home's strategic aims.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain relationships with children, parents, family members, social workers, school staff, and other professionals.
  • Provide additional support for young people with trauma-related behaviours in solo children's homes.
  • Foster a supportive and empowering environment for both service-users and staff.
  • Ensure the home environment is safe, suitable, and sensitive to children's needs.
  • Implement care plans and ensure smooth transitions for referrals, admissions, and discharges.
  • Follow health and safety policies and report any hazards.

Requirements:

  • Patience, teamwork skills, emotional intelligence, and resilience.
  • Full and valid driving license.
