Finance Business Partner

Widnes/Hybrid

£45,000 - £50,000 + study support

Join an amazing team as a Finance Business Partner with a strong commercial focus. You'll play a pivotal role in influencing key business decisions. Reporting to the Global FP&A Director, you'll partner closely with sales and commercial teams, delivering insights that empower decision-making and drive growth. This opportunity is one that will give you a valuable insight into the business partnering and FP&A world whilst working alongside like-minded driven people in a business that is thriving, where no 2 days are the same!

Key Responsibilities

  • Influence Strategic Decisions:
    • Collaborate with sales and commercial teams to shape activities, enhance margins, and mitigate risks.
    • Align financial goals with broader business strategies, ensuring shared success
    • Provide clear and actionable recommendations through variance analysis and forecasting.
    • Conduct weekly updates and analyses of rolling 3-month forecasts to maintain focus and adaptability.
    • Review monthly performance, offering insightful commentary and strategic guidance for commercial teams.
  • Enable Financial Transparency:
    • Build leadership-level reports, distilling complex data into concise and impactful narratives.
    • Ensure clarity and accountability through meticulous financial reporting and analysis.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement:
    • Take initiative to develop new reporting and analysis methods that unlock growth opportunities.
    • Support the annual budgeting process, aligning financial plans with business objectives.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally, providing clarity and consistency across departments.
  • Support Leadership:
    • Partner with the FP&A Director on ad-hoc projects, contributing to key initiatives and decisions.

  • Professional Qualifications:
    • PQ CIMA/ACCA or nearly Qualified (study support offered)

    • Commercially minded, with the ability to interpret data, tell compelling stories, and focus stakeholders on what matters.
    • Advanced Excel skills, with a passion for creating impactful reporting and data-driven insights.
