Our client is a high growth financial services company operating in the digital marketplace using innovative technologies. Led by a board of Directors consisting of industry experts and seasoned entrepreneurs they are rapidly scaling up for expansion and would like to recruit a Finance Manager to support the CFO. This position will be a fully hands on role with responsibility for all the day to day finance and reporting needs of the business. The role will be fully remote but will require monthly visits to meet some of the Directors who are based in Wigan, Lancashire. Applications will therefore only be considered from candidates residing within a commutable distance from this area.

This exciting role provides a unique opportunity to worth with a PLC growth enterprise that is acquisitive, well-funded and poised for rapid global expansion. Reporting to the CFO your duties will be:

  • Managing the accounting system, currently Xero
  • Producing the Management Accounts
  • Preparing MI for the group
  • Tax filings and compliance
  • Business partnering and analysis
  • Timely processing of transactions and reconciliations

The role offers the opportunity for significant development and progression, it will be very hands on for 6-12 months after which it is likely that you will build a team around you. Suitable applicants must have a proactive approach and the ability to take ownership of financial operations, you must be detail orientated with a high level of accuracy around financial reporting and reconciliations. The ideal background would be someone experienced in financial management including compliance, planning and control with the ability to implement system improvements.
