Reeson Education is looking for a warm, enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and inclusive Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) setting in the WN2 area of Wigan. This Teaching Assistant role is full-time, long-term, and starts as soon as possible.

The Teaching Assistant will support across the EYFS provision, moving between Nursery and Reception to work with a wide range of children. The role includes class support, small group interventions, and one-to-one support for pupils with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities for the Teaching Assistant:
  • Work as a Teaching Assistant across EYFS, supporting Nursery and Reception.

  • Provide group support, one-to-one support, and general class assistance.

  • Assist with learning through play, early phonics, and basic number skills.

  • Support pupils with social, emotional, and developmental needs.

  • Foster a nurturing, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.

The Ideal Teaching Assistant Will:
  • Be a nurturing and engaging Teaching Assistant with EYFS experience.

  • Have a clear understanding of early childhood development.

  • Be adaptable, creative, and confident working across both Nursery and Reception.

  • Be able to support children with a range of needs, including SEND.

  • Show strong communication and teamworking skills.

Teaching Assistant Requirements:
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply).

  • Right to work in the UK.

  • Recent references covering the last 2-3 years.

  • A genuine passion for EYFS as a Teaching Assistant.
