Payroll & Finance Coordinator - About the role:

We have an opportunity for an individual to join our team as Payroll & Finance Co-ordinator responsible for providing the site with Finance and Payroll support to ensure the accurate and timely flow of data between the site, the Finance Shared Service Centre and Head Office.

The roles primary focus is to ensure that payroll and financial month end results are produced accurately and on time, supporting other ad hoc queries on plant results as and when required.

In addition, the role also acts as the local point of contact for payroll queries and is responsible for supporting People Manager with HR administration.

Payroll & Finance Coordinator - Responsibilities:

  • Support the site management team and Finance Controller with the production of a range of financial reporting including monthly Sales reports, stock control procedures, Journals and reconciliations.
  • Work with the Finance Controller to ensure the timely delivery of monthly, quarterly and year end results.
  • Ensure Group Policies and audit requirements are embedded at site level.
  • Ensure local fixed asset administration is correctly maintained ( e.g. Bank guarantees, copy contracts etc).
  • Expedite resolution of AP errors and provide guidance to process owners on accurate transaction processing.
  • Provide monthly payroll data to the Shared Service Centre to complete monthly payroll including details relating to overtime, SSP, SMP and other adjustments.
  • When required, generate Purchase Orders and receipt goods in line with standard processes.
  • Deal with suppliers over payments and general queries.
  • Assist People Manager with HR Administration as required.

What we need from you:

  • AAT qualified or equivalent
  • Highly numerate - minimum GCSE Grade C Maths or equivalent
  • Highly computer literate - specific experience of MS office, in particular Word, Excel & Outlook
  • Extensive previous financial administration
  • Experience in payroll
  • Experience of finance and payroll systems - SAP advantageous
  • Experience of purchase ledger, sales ledger, accounts reconciliations and other key finance processes
  • Experience of general office administration & working closely with colleagues in other departments
