Specialist Personal Tutor

We are looking for an exceptional Specialist Personal Tutor to join our highly effective Heads of Studies team. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting and working with students both in and outside the classroom and will thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment dedicated to achieving the best outcomes for learners.

The primary purpose of this role is to guide and support students in exceeding their Minimum Expected Grades while fostering a culture of respect, kindness, and ambition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drawing on previous experience to help students identify progression pathways, employability opportunities, and develop essential soft skills to enhance their prospects.
  • Motivating and supporting students while closely monitoring their welfare, escalating concerns where necessary.
  • Delivering tailored in-class and online tutorials to diverse groups of students, embedding best practices and addressing current trends in daily life.
  • Building strong relationships with students during tutorial sessions, understanding their individual needs, and adapting support accordingly.
  • Collaborating confidently with Heads of Department, teaching staff, and reporting directly to the Head of Studies.
  • Using college systems to record and analyse data, identifying areas for improvement, and communicating with students to address concerns and align their learning needs with college standards.

  • Strong communication skills, accurate record-keeping, and the ability to provide constructive feedback.
  • Confidence in working independently and as part of a team.
  • A commitment to fostering a supportive and ambitious team culture.
