Are you a passionate and dedicated English Teacher looking for a rewarding long-term role? We are seeking a qualified English Teacher (QTS required) to join our team and inspire students across KS3 and KS4.

We are working with a Secondary School in Wigan who are looking for someone after the Easter Break to cover a maternity cover.

The Role:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging English lessons to KS3 and KS4 students
  • Plan and assess effectively to ensure student progress
  • Foster a love for literature, language, and creative writing
  • Support students of all abilities, ensuring inclusive learning
  • Contribute to the wider school community and department initiatives


The Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4
  • Is a passionate educator with strong subject knowledge
  • Can create an engaging and supportive learning environment
  • Has excellent communication and classroom management skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
