What you'll do:
As an HR Manager, your role will be pivotal in shaping the people strategy that aligns with our client's business goals. You'll be responsible for interpreting employment law, providing crucial advice to the senior management team, and leading the employee engagement strategy. Your expertise will be essential in managing recruitment activities, developing HR planning strategies, producing insightful HR metrics, and handling employee relations casework. - Lead the day-to-day operations of the HR function, ensuring its operational success and development
- Interpret and advise on employment law, updating and implementing policies and procedures accordingly
- Provide coaching and support to the senior management team in terms of development and performance management
- Lead employee engagement strategy, identifying areas that require improvement and development
- Manage recruitment and selection activity, from job descriptions to on-boarding new starters
- Develop HR planning strategies considering immediate and long-term employee requirements
- Produce and analyse KPI's and HR metrics, making recommendations as appropriate
- Manage employee relations casework in compliance with UK Employment Law
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this HR Manager position brings proven experience in a similar role or as a senior HR generalist. You possess strong knowledge of UK employment law and are well-versed in HR compliance standards. Your excellent interpersonal skills enable you to negotiate effectively and solve problems efficiently. A minimum CIPD Level 5 qualification is required; however, Level 7 or Chartered Membership is highly desirable. Experience with HR systems such as HRIS or payroll systems is essential, as is the ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organisation.
- Proven experience as an HR Manager or in a senior HR generalist role
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR compliance standards
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- CIPD Level 5 (minimum); Level 7 or Chartered Membership is desirable
- Experience with HR systems and reporting (e.g. HRIS, payroll systems)
- Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organisation
