Our client, an independent firm of Chartered Accountants, based in Winchester are seeking a Personal Tax Senior/Assistant Manager to join their expanding team.

You will be dealing with the private client tax matters for a portfolio of clients, mainly including Landed Estates, agricultural and rural businesses.

Duties will include:

  • Preparation of complex tax returns for individuals and partnerships, and associated administration to ensure compliance with deadlines
  • Preparation of trust accounts and tax returns, including updating the Trust Registration Service where required
  • Working closely with and providing support to senior staff with tax advisory services and ad-hoc tasks
  • Liaising with clients directly and attending meetings where required
  • Commercial management of the client portfolio ensuring fees are raised promptly after work has been completed
  • Providing assistance to junior members of the team where appropriate
  • Dealing with HMRC correspondence, telephone calls and enquiries

You will ideally have at least 3-4 years tax experience and ideally hold a relevant qualification such as ATT and/or CTA, although QBE will be considered. Study support may also be offered if required.
