Branch/Department: SEN (Special Educational Needs)

Location: Winchester/Hybrid (1 Day office attendance in the winchester)

Contract Type: Temporary, 3 months initially

Salary: 13.28 per hour

Job Purpose

To develop and establish administration systems within the department, provide occasional minute taking support to Children's Services.

Contribute to the delivery of an efficient service in support of business requirements.

To update and monitor data to support processes.

What is the day-to-day of the role:

  • Contribute to and support the delivery of a high quality administrative service working within the SEN Service Administration Support Team, using a variety of communication methods.
  • Processing payments
  • Processing complaints
  • Providing efficient administration support.
  • Minute/ note taking.
  • Updating of spreadsheets daily.
  • Diary management; meeting set-up
  • Research and source information to answer complex queries.
  • Develop networks of approved contact, both internal and external, to fulfil the department's business needs.
  • Provide an initial point of contact for email and telephone queries, dealing with and, where necessary, directing enquiries to colleagues.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A good academic background, educated beyond GCSE (AS level/BTEC).
  • Demonstrable competence or aptitude to work as part of a
  • team, managing statutory and complex matters
  • Any qualification in administration or business-management would be desirable.
  • Previous experience delivering a wide range of administrative functions.
  • Computer literacy with experience of using a variety of software for data management and transmissions, especially the Microsoft Office suite of programmes.
