We have a fantastic opportunity within Supply Chain for a Production Planner.

The successful candidate will be responsible for effectively planning, managing all production requirements within the organisation. Ensuing that all production is closely monitored and analysed in accordance with agreed targets. Maximise efficiency whilst ensuring 100% delivery with minimal run out and wastage costs.

An overview of the role is detailed below:

  • Issue manufacturing plans for all production areas of the business
  • Creation of production schedules in APO using the preferred running profile to optimise line efficiency and manning
  • Generating coding schedules for U30, NLC & Firebird
  • Issuing of BOMs in SAP for service areas
  • Receipt and processing of orders throughout the day via EDI, email or other methods
  • Liaise with the commercial department and customers 8-week orders and potential supply issues
  • Maintain current forecasting tools to plan to the most accurate forecast figures
  • Proactively look at ways to drive planning efficiency
  • Liaise with warehousing and procurement if any shortfall of raw materials or over production should occur
  • Collate and report performance against set KPI's
  • Propose and implement continuous improvements in own area with evidence
  • Reconciling stock counts position, to ensure adherence to plan
  • Measure, minimise and publish expected obsolete/over stock reports
  • Ensure position, position, forecast is kept up to date at all times for the procurement team
  • Maintenance of APO master data
  • Review production performance throughout the shift to ensure planned requirements will be effectively achieved and manage the consequence of any unforeseen issues
  • To carry out adhoc projects as and when requested.

Ideally candidates will have worked within a similar role with experience of scheduling software.

Candidates should have good communication and organisational skills as well as being target driven.

Computer literacy is key with the ability to plan and meet deadlines.
