About the Role

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead a team at an Upper Tier COMAH site. This role offers the chance to shape and develop the department while ensuring safe and efficient site operations. You will be responsible for overseeing mechanical and electrical technicians, managing contractors, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a safety-first culture, ensuring an incident-free workplace.
  • Supervise and allocate tasks to the maintenance team and contractors.
  • Oversee site maintenance, including safety-critical equipment and fire protection systems.
  • Manage the SAP/FSM maintenance scheduling system.
  • Control the maintenance budget and oversee purchasing orders.
  • Support engineering projects and integrate modifications into site operations.
  • Participate in audits and the incident management team.
  • Be available for emergency response duties, including out-of-hours on-call support.

What We're Looking For

  • Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 or HNC in Engineering (Mechanical preferred).
  • Experience: Previous leadership in maintenance, ideally in a COMAH or high-hazard site.
  • Safety Knowledge: NEBOSH or IOSH certification and a solid understanding of HSE legislation.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with planned preventative maintenance, electronic control systems, pumps, compressors, pneumatics, pipework, and pressure vessels.
  • Leadership & Project Management: Strong communication and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Full UK Driving Licence required.
