Your new companyOpportunity to join a Housing Association with properties in North Essex within their Property Repairs and Maintenance team. You will be joining a skilled and proactive team to play a key role in ensuring the effective maintenance and improvement of residential property. This opportunity is offered on a full-time basis (37 hours per week) and includes hybrid working.

Your new roleAs the Maintenance Surveyor, you will be responsible for HHSRS inspections and overseeing the resulting projects from inception through to completion, including producing specifications of works and managing contractors. You will work closely with contractors, residents and internal teams to maintain safe and efficient homes. As part of the role you will ensure all works comply with Health and Safety regulations and building standards and provide technical advice to colleagues and tenants regarding repairs and maintenance issues.

What you'll need to succeedIn order to be successful for this role you will have a minimum of an HNC/HND in Building or a Construction related subject, have experience in a property maintenance role (ideally social housing). You should have previous experience in specification writing and knowledge of Health and Safety regulations including CDM and asbestos management. A driving licence and access to a vehicle is required for this role and you should live within commutable distance of Essex.
