Are you a skilled Mechanical Technician looking for a role in a innovative facility that values its employees? A leading waste management and energy recovery site is seeking a dedicated professional to join their maintenance team.
About the Role
As a Mechanical Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining a state-of-the-art Integrated Waste Management Facility (IWMF), ensuring the safe and efficient operation of mechanical engineering systems that process non-recyclable waste to generate electricity.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance on mechanical systems
- Supporting planned and unplanned shutdown activities
- Ensuring all maintenance activities meet safety, environmental, and quality standards
- Working alongside internal teams and external service providers
- Contributing to operational improvement projects

Who We're Looking For:
- NVQ Level 3 (preferred), HNC/HND, or equivalent experience in mechanical maintenance
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a complex operational environment (e.g., Power Generation, Industrial Process, Oil & Gas)
- Strong knowledge of furnace/boiler systems or rotating equipment is advantageous
- Commitment to health, safety, and environmental compliance
- Ability to work as part of a 24/7 operational team, including participation in an on-call rota
