The Company:
Our client requires a Junior Production Merchandiser with a hands-on and proactive approach to join the team. Working primarily with the Sales team, you will be the key point of contact for factories and production, and have an excellent working relationship with your customers.
The Role
- The Production Assistant Merchandiser will directly report to & support the Production Merchandiser for the account responsible for, working as a team to help grow the business.
- Once an order is secured it will be your responsibility to manage the critical path to maintain shipment dates, providing the Merchandiser with weekly updates.
- You will have experience working to a critical path management, updating and chasing daily to ensure orders run to schedule.
- Monitoring of shipment schedules.
- Raising Sales and Purchase orders.
- Completing customer contracts when orders are agreed.
- Collating all safety and testing documents for all products.
- Action and manage customer samples for all departments making sure that they arrive in good time and are to the correct specifications.
- Chasing, checking and submitting samples for testing as well as production samples.
- Monitoring of sales and production planning on core lines and chasing for repeats.
Skills Required:
- Experience of working as an assistant merchandiser or similar.
- Prior exposure of working with retailers and brands is preferred, with either a supplier or having worked for a retailer/brand.
- Excellent communication skills are required as you will be liaising with factories and customers on a daily basis.
- An interest in fragrance and a passion to deliver the best product possible.
- The applicant should be very organised with good attention to detail, keen to learn, responsible, self-motivated, multi tasker and good communicator.
