A school in Witham is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Complex Needs Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to support students with a wide range of complex learning, physical, and emotional needs, ensuring they receive the tailored care and support they require to thrive.

 

Key Responsibilities:

-        Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with complex learning and physical needs.

-        Inspire and support the students to reach their full potential.

-        Assist with the delivery of personalized learning programs, ensuring the student can access the curriculum and engage in educational activities.

-        Support students with daily tasks which includes personal care and mobility assistance.

-        Work closely with class teachers, the SEN (Special Educational Needs) team, and other professionals to develop and implement effective support plans for students.

-        Promote social inclusion and help students build social and emotional skills.

-        Provide feedback and contribute to monitoring the progress and well-being of students.

 

Key Skills and Qualifications:

-            Relevant experience working with children or young people, ideally in a learning support role.

-            Relevant experience working with children that have complex needs.

-            A passion for supporting children with complex needs and helping them succeed.

-            Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.

-            Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to different learning styles.

-            GCSE's grade C (pass) or above
