About the RoleAs a Senior Social Worker in the Adolescent Team, you will work with vulnerable young people aged 11-18, providing targeted interventions, safeguarding support, and relationship-based practice. You will play a crucial role in helping adolescents overcome challenges, build resilience, and achieve positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Work directly with adolescents who may be experiencing risk factors such as criminal or sexual exploitation, missing episodes, substance misuse, or family conflict.
- Undertake in-depth assessments and develop tailored care plans to meet the needs of young people.
- Collaborate with schools, police, health services, and youth workers to provide a coordinated approach to safeguarding and support.
- Lead on child protection planning, complex case management, and legal proceedings where required.
- Provide mentorship and supervision to less experienced social workers, promoting best practice in adolescent safeguarding.
- Use a trauma-informed and relationship-based approach to engage young people effectively.
? A qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.? Significant experience in children’s social work, safeguarding, and working with adolescents at risk.? Strong knowledge of child exploitation, contextual safeguarding, and multi-agency working.? Excellent engagement and communication skills to build trust with young people.? Ability to handle complex caseloads and make sound safeguarding decisions under pressure.? A commitment to supporting young people to achieve stability, safety, and positive life outcomes.
