Our client is current experiencing a significant level of growth and is seeking a Group Accountant to join their busy and friendly Finance Team. You will be leading the production of accurate management accounts to a high standard and ensuring deadlines are met. You will need to be able to explain complex financial information clearly and enjoy working with accounting systems. You will have a logical approach to work alongside an analytical and problem solving mind.
This is a full time role based in their lovely offices based on the outskirts of Wokingham. The salary for this role is up to £65,000 plus a discretionary annual 12% bonus.  Please note this is a fully office based role.
Main responsibilities for this Group Accountant role:
- Full ownership of the month end process
- Management & reporting of KPI’s across the Business Units.
- Production of forecasts, budgeting and forecasting process.
- Responsible for P&L reconciliations, including revenue and gross margin analysis for all Profit Centres within the Group.
- Ensuring full understanding of the cash requirements of each Profit Centre and liaising with the Finance Manager, to produce an accurate Cashflow forecast.
- Preparation and issue of variance reports to monitor and report on variances to budget and targets.
- Full responsibility for multiple balance sheets and associated reconciliations.
- Supporting the budgeting and forecasting process.
- Ad-hoc analysis and investigations for the Group Financial Controller and Chief Financial Officer. Able to deputise for the Group Financial Controller when required along with reviewing company policies and procedures.
- Preparation of year end documentation and support with the year end audit.
- Able to deputise for the Group Financial Controller when required along with reviewing company policies and procedures.
- Superuser for the current ERP system, responsible for administration and day to day maintenance, highlighting training and development requirements.
- Provide support and cover for other members of the finance team
- Management & reporting of Business Unit KPI’s, working closely with Divisional Managers to ensure that the financial performance & KPI’s are accurately recorded, reconciled and reported.

Skills required for this Group Accountant role:
- ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant with relevant post qualification experience as a Group Accountant.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability and confidence to challenge other stakeholders.
- Excellent data volume skills including excel and pivot tables.
- Systems savvy with experience of ERP systems.
- Highly motivated and resourceful. Previous experience of managing a SME finance team.
- Excellent project management and problem-solving skills.
- High level of numeracy & attention to detail.
- Previous stock accounting experience would be an advantage.
- Experience of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (NAV) would be a benefit, but not essential as long as similar system experience.
- A desire for improvement, always looking at opportunities to improve processes or reporting where you can see them.
