Job Summary: They are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Payroll Officer to join the team in Wokingham. As a Payroll Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for clients in different industry sectors. You will work under the guidance of an experienced Payroll Manager and collaborate with a team of four Payrollers to deliver exceptional payroll services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and manage payroll for a portfolio of clients, ensuring all statutory and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Accurately calculate and input employee hours, salary adjustments, deductions, and other payroll-related data.
  • Validate and process payroll reports, including payslips, tax forms, and year-end reports.
  • Stay updated on tax laws and legislation related to payroll to ensure compliance.
  • Respond to client inquiries and provide excellent customer service in a professional manner.
  • Maintain up-to-date and organized client records and payroll information.
  • Collaborate with the Payroll Manager and team members to resolve payroll-related issues and improve processes.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of payroll-related reports to relevant authorities.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience in payroll processing and administration is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance.
  • Proficient in using payroll software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
