The Role:
As a Residential Childrens Support Worker, you will play a key role in the day-to-day care and wellbeing of the young people in our care. You will:
Provide emotional support and guidance to children
Assist with daily routines such as school runs, meal preparation, and recreational activities.
Help maintain a safe, structured, and caring environment.
Work alongside a multidisciplinary team to implement care plans and behavioural support strategies.
Conduct regular key work sessions with the young people
Support children in overcoming personal challenges and achieving their goals.
Keep accurate records and contribute to reports on the childrens progress and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:
Building positive relationships with children to foster trust and stability.
Managing challenging behaviour with a calm and patient approach.
Encouraging and promoting the development of life skills.
Following safeguarding procedures and promoting a culture of safety and respect.
Liaising with the appropriate agencies who are involved in the young persons care

Requirements:
A minimum of 1 years UK experience working with children and young people within a residential setting
Be able to provide professional references for anywhere you have worked within the last 3 years
Must have an Enhanced Child and Adult DBS registered on the update service or be willing to process a new one with Prospero.
A caring, empathetic, and non-judgmental approach.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
A commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of children.
