A welcoming primary school in Wokingham is searching for a dedicated Specialist SEN Mentor to join their team as soon as possible. This role involves working with children in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, offering tailored academic and emotional support. Prior experience with children, whether through tutoring, coaching, or volunteer work, would be beneficial but is not essential.
Your Responsibilities
As a Specialist SEN Mentor, you will:
- Work one-on-one and in small groups to support children with Autism and complex learning needs.
- Collaborate with teachers to deliver engaging numeracy and literacy activities.
- Build strong relationships with students to encourage their academic and emotional development.
- Assist in managing classroom dynamics and fostering a positive learning environment.
- Help children overcome barriers to learning and develop essential life skills.

Position Overview
- Role: SEN Specialist
- Location: Wokingham
- Pay Rate: £83 - £95 per day (based on experience and qualifications)
- Contract: Long-term temporary with the possibility of a permanent position
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
- Experience: Experience with SEN is helpful but not required-passion and dedication are most important!
