Your new companyWe are working with an established and successful manufacturing company in South Wolverhampton for an exciting new role. This is a temporary position requiring an immediate start, for approximately four weeks, with the potential to be extended, as this is a supporting project for the business.

Your new roleThis role will be supporting the Technical Training and Product Support Engineer with writing and modifying technical documentation, while ensuring accuracy, readability, and brand consistency. There is a high volume of documents to complete before a new system implementation into the business in Autumn 2025. The template for the documents is ready to be used. This role requires ensuring consistency with branding and information, updating technical language and ensuring all documents are digitalised. Key tasks:

  • Editing and proofreading
  • Adapt technical jargon into language appropriate for the audience.
  • Maintain consistency in terminology, tone and style.
  • Ensure compliance with Brand Guidelines, and agreed document format and structure.
  • Ensure all content is clear and concise.
  • Ensure all content is free of grammatical and spelling errors.
  • Manage the digital storage of content in line with the defined hierarchical file structure.
  • Maintain and update the databases, ensuring all records are accurate

This is a 37-hour working week Monday to Friday and can offer some level of remote work. What you'll need to succeed

  • The ideal candidate has a strong technical background combined with excellent writing and storytelling skills.
  • The role requires strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven administrative skills in working with data/documents.
  • Copywriting experience is ideal but not essential.
