This Construction business are seeking a dedicated and experienced Health and Safety specialist to join the team. The manager will be responsible for the Head office and overseeing the H&S on the construction companies sites within the West Midlands.

This growing company are well established and this role will play an important part within the business.

This role requires the applicant to have a good working knowledge in the building industry. This is a fast-paced industry and they are looking for someone who is dynamic in their approach and you will need excellent knowledge of H&S processes, responsible for implementing and ensuring compliance of all health and safety policies, procedures and regulations.

Duties:

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for managing Health and Safety across the construction group.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all team members are compliant and company matrix is updated.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and populating CPP and RAMs ensuring team are full aware of the obligations set out.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for educating and supporting the team members across the business in H&S matter, Populating toolbox talks and implementing safety action.
  • The successful candidate will be wholey responsible for the Health & Safety of the construction business.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for inductions of new team members ensuring paperwork is completed and retained on company records.
  • The successful candidate will train, develop and retain team members on all H&S matters
  • Complete the annual renewal for our company accreditations (Constuction line, CHAS, ISO etc).

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Safety Manager or similar role within construction
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in report writing and documentation
- Strong leadership skills
