Materials Manager - Global Tier 1 Automotive Supplier Location: Wolverhampton Salary: £52,000 - £55,000 Hours: 39 hours per week, Day Shift Are you an experienced Material Services Manager looking to lead and optimize internal logistics operations in a fast-paced automotive environment? This is an exciting opportunity to join a global Tier 1 automotive company at the forefront of innovation and efficiency. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead & manage the internal logistics team, ensuring smooth material flow to and from production.
  • Drive efficiency by reducing OEE losses and optimizing logistics performance.
  • Manage vehicle fleet operations and ensure compliance with all statutory requirements.
  • Attend daily and weekly meetings to report on logistics performance and implement countermeasures.
  • Standardize best practices and oversee team training, development, and performance management.
  • Monitor KPIs related to accidents, incidents, and operational efficiency.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience in automotive logistics management (ideally Tier 1)
  • Strong people management and leadership skills - able to engage and develop teams.
  • A logical, methodical, and tenacious approach to problem-solving.
  • IOSH Managing Safely qualification (or equivalent).
  • Experience with business processes and continuous improvement in a similar environment.
