About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to take full responsibility for the successful delivery of a 20m industrial project in Wolverhampton. As the No.1 on-site, you will lead the construction phase, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. You will report directly to a visiting Contracts Manager and work closely with project stakeholders, subcontractors, and the wider site team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee daily site operations, ensuring efficient progress and adherence to programme.
- Manage health & safety, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour to maintain productivity and quality.
- Monitor and report on progress, addressing any issues that could impact delivery.
- Ensure the highest standards of workmanship, meeting client expectations and specifications.
- Attend and lead site meetings, liaising with design teams, consultants, and external stakeholders.
- Maintain strong communication with the visiting Contracts Manager, escalating any major risks or concerns.
- Ensure all site records, reports, and documentation are accurately maintained.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a No.1 Site Manager on large-scale industrial or commercial projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, health & safety, and building regulations.
- Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
- CSCS (Black/Gold), SMSTS, and First Aid certifications are essential.
- Previous experience delivering projects in the industrial, logistics, or commercial sectors preferred.
