We are an established M&E Contractor based in Wolverhampton, looking for an experienced Health & Safety Manager/Officer to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is perfect for someone seeking flexibility while playing a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies and procedures in compliance with legal and industry standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments, ensuring that potential hazards are identified and controlled.
  • Perform regular site visits to ensure safety standards are adhered to, and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, producing detailed reports and recommendations for improvements.
  • Liaise with project managers and site teams to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Deliver health and safety training and toolbox talks to staff and subcontractors.
  • Maintain health and safety records, including accident reports, training logs, and risk assessments.
  • Ensure all relevant certifications, such as permits and safety documentation, are up to date.
  • Stay updated with new health and safety legislation and best practices, advising the company accordingly.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a Health & Safety role within the M&E sector is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of risk assessments, site safety, and safety regulations.
  • Ability to conduct site inspections and implement safety measures effectively.
  • NEBOSH or equivalent health and safety qualifications preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and report-writing skills.
  • Flexibility to work 3 days per week, with a mix of office-based and site-based responsibilities.
