The Key Account Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of 15-20 key accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and efficient operations. This role involves overseeing the delivery schedules, stock control, and production processes to meet customer needs. The Key Account Manager will also be responsible for supplier negotiations, sourcing materials, and optimizing sales growth. Additionally, the role includes monitoring customer forecast adherence and maintaining up-to-date pricing and reporting.

Key Responsibilities
Manage and nurture relationships with 15-20 main accounts.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and addressing any concerns.
Oversee deliveries in accordance with schedules and forecasts.
Work with logistics and production teams to ensure timely delivery of goods.
Track customer consumption rates to ensure adherence to forecasts.
Identify and resolve any discrepancies (over/under consumption)
Monitor and manage stock levels to meet customer demands while minimising excess inventory.
Ensure stock availability for scheduled deliveries.
Source and secure materials required for production, balancing cost and quality.
Collaborate with suppliers to ensure consistent supply and resolve any material shortages.
Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to achieve the best possible terms.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
Develop and maintain clear production processing instructions (with provided training).
Ensure production teams have accurate guidelines to meet customer specifications.
Identify situations where cost recovery is necessary and take appropriate action to recoup expenses.
Communicate with customers and suppliers as needed to resolve any cost-related issues
Update contract prices monthly or quarterly based on market trends and agreements.
Ensure all price changes are communicated and reflected in contracts.
Prepare monthly reports on customer usage, sales performance, and stock levels.
Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
Collaborate with sales teams to drive customer engagement and growth.
Prepare and deliver quotations for existing and new customers.

Qualifications & Skills:
Ability to manage customer relationships and anticipate needs.
Analytical skills for monitoring forecasts, stock, and sales data.
Knowledge of production processes and supply chain management (training will be provided).
Experience in account management, sales, or supply chain roles is preferred.
