Our client are specialists within a niche industry and part of a larger European group who are recognised on a global scale.Your new roleIn this number two role, you will support both the Financial Controller and Project Managers with key day-to-day financial tasks including the preparation of financial reports, analysis of key business data and providing insights to assist strategic decision-making.Main duties:
- Monthly completion of financial statements, balance sheet, intercompany reconciliations, fixed assets etc.
- Monthly and quarterly financial reporting to Group
- Project accounting including WIP and variance analysis calculations
- Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting and forecasting
- Annual completion of statutory accounts and tax packs
- Sales and purchase ledger oversight and management
- Cashflow management
- Weekly KPI reporting
- VAT, Intrastat and CIS submissions
- Payroll and pension processing and submission including P11d reporting
- Improving internal controls and managing process improvements
What you'll need to succeed
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA studier actively working towards the completion of your qualification
- Previous management accounting or financial analysis experience
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial data to non-finance stakeholders
- Commercially minded and strong analytical skills
- Highly competent with Excel and finance packages (Sage 200, Eque2 Construction highly advantageous)
