- The role involves using milling machines, grinders, and lathes, as well as working from engineering drawings to build, fit, assemble, and polish tooling and dies.
- Candidates should be skilled, time-served toolmakers with experience working to tight tolerances and the ability to read engineering drawings.
- The position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work responsibly in terms of health and safety.
- The salary for this role is up to £40,000 and candidates should have relevant experience in toolmaking.
The main responsibilities associated with the role include
- Using milling machines, grinders and lathe
- Work to Engineering drawings
- Build/fit/assemble/polish tooling and dies using hand tools and equipment
- use CMM to check tooling, jogs and fixtures within tolerance
- Work in responsible manner in terms of Health and Safety
As a suitable candidate you will offer the following
- Skilled, time-serves toolmaker
- Trained in the use of all toolroom machinery and hand tools
- Experience working with tight tolerances with all materials
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Ability to use a wide range of measuring equipment
- Ability to get on with people at all levels

The hours for this role are Mon-Fri 0800-1630 and the salary is up to £40,000
