Grafton Banks Finance are working with a well-established commercial company with offices in Worthing, West Sussex to recruit a Finance Assistant on a full-time permanent basis. Working full time Monday – Friday 4 days in office and 1 day from home. Reporting into the Head of finance and working in a small friendly team you will be responsible for supporting with the smooth running of the companies finances.

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

  • Adding new Customer & Supplier records to accounting software
  • Adding Direct Debit Mandates to Customer records
  • Submitting weekly client spreadsheets
  • Monitor and Chase for outstanding client spreadsheets
  • Monitor various Accounts Email inbox’s
  • Includes saving PO’s, checking supplier invoices against PO’s & adding to system
  • Checking & Adding payroll data
  • Uploading finance tip posts to our Social media app
  • Completing 4 weekly Invoice runs for our care office
  • Monthly Credit Card Reconciliation
  • Assisting with Payroll

(Includes adding new starters to Payroll, checking pay slips, reconciling staff list etc)

  • Checking and inputting expenses
  • Answering phone calls and dealing with customer queries
  • Completing ad hoc finance tasks

The successful candidate will have experience of working within finance and managing accounting information. Ideally you will be studying towards an accounting qualification such as AAT or ACCA, CIMA. This is an excellent job opportunity for someone looking to progress with their career within finance working within a small friendly team. You will need to have excellent communication skills and solid IT Knowledge.
