Warehouse Operative - Despatch

Menzies Distribution are looking for an experienced Warehouse Operative to join our team providing a first class service in Wakefield. The main purpose of this role is to provide accurate receipt of customer goods in to the warehouse, and timely despatch of customer goods from the warehouse to external parties. The role requirements are to complete various warehouse tasks, as safely, accurately and as efficiently as possible upholding and the highest standards of health and safety at all times.

 The Details:

• Salary: £25,071 Per Annum (Overtime is paid at Time & A Half)
• Shift Pattern: 4 On/ 4 Off Rotation
• Hours: 07:00-19:00
• Location: WF2 0XE
• Monthly Pay
• Parking Onsite

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Loading/unloading trailers and containers using manual Pump Trucks abd Powered Pallet Trucks (PPT)
• Four-face quaility checks on all inbound and outbound stock
• Driver key checks
• Issuing driver paperwork and traielr seals
• Reporting any isuses to Operations SUpervisor / Manager
• Regualr warehsoue sweeps, ensuring floor and all walkways are clear of all cans and debris
• Ensure all tasks are carried out to the highest standards, working in partnership with the customer
• Adhering to Health and Safety rules at all times

About you:

• Previous warehouse experience
• Experience using hand pallet trucks and PPT
• Good eye for detail
• Strong communication skills, be a team player
• Be proactive, use initiative
• Good organisational and time management skills
