Head of Application Delivery - D365 & Power Platform - York - Up to £130,000 + Benefits

We are seeking a Head of Application Delivery to lead the successful implementation and ongoing management of D365, Power Apps, and other critical enterprise applications. This role requires strong stakeholder engagement, vendor management, and strategic planning to ensure seamless integration and continuous improvement across core platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the end-to-end implementation, customisation, and optimisation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform, ensuring alignment with business goals.

  • Oversee the delivery of core applications, managing both bespoke development and configuration of out-of-the-box solutions.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executive sponsors, product owners, and third-party vendors

  • Define and execute a technology roadmap that integrates D365 and Power Platform into the broader IT landscape.

  • Manage risks and issues that may impact the delivery, performance, or security of enterprise applications.

  • Provide strategic leadership in application governance, data integrity, and regulatory compliance within a highly regulated environment.

  • Oversee multiple budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting and cost control for D365, Power Platform, and other enterprise applications.

What We're Looking For:
  • 5+ years in a senior technology leadership role, delivering enterprise applications within a regulated industry (insurance preferred).

  • Extensive experience implementing and managing Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CE, F&O) and Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).

  • Strong understanding of integrations, automation, and custom development within the Microsoft ecosystem.

  • Proven track record of leading multi-disciplinary teams, including software engineers, analysts, configurators, and agile delivery leads.

  • Expertise in vendor management, contract negotiations, and supplier performance oversight.

  • Experience managing budgets for technology transformation and ongoing platform maintenance.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership teams.

  • Experience driving continuous improvement, Agile/DevOps methodologies, and cloud-based application delivery.
