Our client is currently looking for someone to help speed up the process of pricing and quoting projects.

As a company they take on all domestic jobs from general repair works, mid size to large extensions, loft conversion and more.

Role Description

This is a part-time hybrid role for a Quantity Surveyor / Estimator. The role is located in York and surrounding areas but allows for some work from home.

Own transport essential due to the nature of going onto various sites

The "Quantity Surveyor / Estimator" will be responsible for tasks related to cost control, cost management, cost planning, cost reporting & quoting. Material quantity pricing & over view, material supply and ordering.

Experience

  • Cost Control, Cost Management, and Cost Planning skills
  • Cost Reporting skills
  • Experience in quantity surveying and estimating
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Understanding of domestic construction.
  • Understanding of structural works (ideal but not required).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Client interaction skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Relevant degree or certification in Quantity Surveying or related field experience

This is a very flexible role working 2-3 days per week with hours to suit the right person
