Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Contract Administrator to join our Contracts team in supporting the Global Tactical Programs Operating Unit and is based in Linthicum, MD. This is a full-time on-site position with a 9/80 work schedule. Occasional travel to customer sites is required and estimated at 10%. As a member of the Combat Sensors Business Unit, the Contract Administrator will be responsible for supporting contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide and ensure proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer requirements. This position requires a basic understanding of DOD contracting, excellent communication skills and strong organizational and customer service skills. Associated responsibilities include: Administer, extend, negotiate and terminate standard and nonstandard contracts. Act as primary interface with customer for contractual issues. Support proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. Review and analyze customer Requests for Proposal (RFPs) to understand Statements of Work (SOW)/contract requirements and advise the program team on terms and conditions. Ensure company proposals are fully responsive to customer requirements, coordinate appropriate levels of internal review for approval prior to submission. Manage proposal fact-finding and conduct negotiations with customer with support from the program team. Collaborate with other functional groups (finance, supply chain, mission assurance, legal, etc.) during all phases of the contract lifecycle.
