Opportunity

Kohler Co. is looking for a Sr. Manager – Product, Showering with exceptional critical thinking skills and a passion for innovation to lead the Showering category. You will be joining a strong global brand committed to living on the leading edge in design and technology of product and process.

The Sr. Manager – Product, Showering will manage the lifecycle of a product or a group of products. This involves managing products from ideation to launch, and through to retirement. The Sr. Manager – Product, Showering owns the product strategy, conducts market research, identifies user needs, and creates a roadmap for the products. The Sr. Manager – Product, Showering leads and works with cross-functional teams to develop and launch the products and monitor their performance.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Owns P&L’s and long-term financial deliverables for the shower wall, accessory and receptor categories.
  • Develop & own the product attribute framework, innovation roadmaps and strategies to deliver the long-term business objectives.
  • Act as the internal and external focal point for the resolution of product issues (quality, cost, warranty, performance).
  • Plan and initiate new product development efforts to grow sales and profits.
  • Proactively manage the portfolio of products including product lifecycle management.
  • Write and submit appropriate documentation to initiate new product efforts.
  • Provide voice of customer input throughout the new product development process.
  • Work collaboratively with GPI/NPI to ensure all new product development is meeting all the required targets and is being delivered on-time.
  • Lead editorial visits/interviews, trade shows and industry events to promote the category
  • Support category management partners in key customer presentations, line reviews, and training.
  • Lead and interact globally with various cross functional teams and departments to collaborate and deliver objectives on schedule
  • Owns/leads 5-year roadmaps and new product schedules
  • 2–5-year capital plan and forecast
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, communication, and accountability within the team

Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field.  MBA preferred.
  • 7 years product marketing experience with strong analytical and presentation skills
  • Track record of owning and successfully driving strategies, completing projects and meeting
  • objectives
  • Travel - approximately 25%.
